Annnnnnd, done! with exactly one day to spare! I can't believe this plush took me about a month or so. I've spent my life on this thing, and so I will now call it my masterpiece! Haha, I'm too dramatic.
This Eevee is exactly 12 inches tall, excluding the ears; making it life sized. It is made out of some kind of short, brown, plushy faux fur that I found at JoAnn's that I have no idea what it is called. It's eyes are made out of Sculpey, thanks to the marvelous tutorial that ~Katy-A posted. It has a plastic safety nose, and super thick interfacing in the ears to keep them standing upright. The inside of the ears are made from fleece.
The mane is made out of some kind of poodle-like fur material that is silky and gets all over the place. I had to sew the mane by machine, and look, I didn't kill myself! I'm shocked. The mane is lightly stuffed, but then the ends are sewed down to give it that curved look that Eevee's mane has in the official Pokemon artwork. There are four pieces to the mane that were all sewn separately and in sections. I did this because, well, that's what the official artwork did. They all overlay each other to make it look very pretty.
The paws are filled with poly-pellets (weighted beads), and the toes are thread sculpted with black craft thread. There are pink circles on the bottom of each paw as paw pads (I was inspired when I watched 'The Battling Eevee Brothers' on my PS3, and saw Eevee's paws). I even got my mom to hold it up to show off the paws while I was giving this plushie it's photoshoot!
There is a tag on the heel of its left back leg. Just a cute little iron on tag (that I actually attached using FabriTac) that says "Handmade by" and then I signed my name with the year (so it looks like "Jodie '10") because even though this was a commission, it is still a birthday gift to my eight year old cousin (her birthday was yesterday, actually!).
The tail, due to usage of the cream-coloured fur, was sewn entirely by machine. My sister's sewing machine gave me a lot of hassle; the thread kept coming out, but I eventually got it. The problem had something to due with the bobbin, but I forgot exactly what.
